Committees
Executive Committee
Transact the business of the Board between meetings of the
Board if immediate decisions are needed; clarify issues to
be brought to the full Board for discussion and action.
Finance Committee
Responsible for general oversight for the financial affairs
of the chapter.
Program & Fundraising
Program Sub-Committee
Responsible for monitoring the Chapter program activities
and outcomes; establish, develop and execute programs in the
following areas:
Education: Coordinate Chapter sponsorship
and participation in various educational programs and activities;
coordinate and implement the LEAD Program; coordinate scholarship
program and activities and sponsor leadership development
programs and activities
Health: Coordinate Chapter sponsorship and
participation in various health related activities, programs,
fundraisers, health fairs and initiatives.
Economic Development & Empowerment: Coordinate
Chapter sponsorship and participation in economic development
initiatives and presentations, including but not limited to;
estate planning, investment planning; home ownership; financial
planning; and small business development.
Fundraising Sub-Committee
Develops, coordinates and presents fundraising programs for
the Chapter.
Membership Committee
Recruits, coordinates and oversee member recruitment and retention
activities and events. Plan and facilitate member networking
activities and events.
Political Action & Communication
Monitor and Affect legislative or Public Policy issues of
local, state, and national interest to members.
Political Action Sub-Committee
Research & Monitors legislative issues, public policy
and initiatives then develop and present workshops, seminars,
and other materials for presentations to the Chapter and the
public.
Communications Sub-Committee
Assures the preparation and implementation of an annual public
relations/marketing plan,to increase community awareness and
support committees events and programs.
Scholarship Committee
Makes recommendations for scholarship guidelines, distributes
and reviews scholarship applications and makes recommendations
for award recipients.
